I use the Head of the Iga Ninja set, all seven pieces. For Ninja Tools, I chose Fire Shuriken, Thundering Calamity, and Kunai. I distributed my skill points with a focus on Skill and Magic. The rest is for activating bonuses. For magic, I use Magatsu Warrior and Enenra, as well as electric and fire shots. The Demon of Envy skill will be effective here. Among the passive skills, Awakening, Ninjutsu Cultivation, and Thrown Blade Counter play an important role. Of course, I can’t do without the Evade skill, which is fundamental to my tactics.

At the beginning, as soon as you approach the Demon of Obsession and see the boss appear, you need to immediately move away to a safe distance. The thing is, the boss falls from above, and if you stand below, you will take damage from his fall. You don’t need that. From a distance, you can use your Ninja Tools or magic shots to start damaging your opponent.

Next, you need to closely follow the boss’s actions, especially his cannon, which he uses to fire wind charges or explosive shells that detonate near you. The boss also releases a vertical wind wave that moves towards you. You need to avoid these attacks. When you see that the boss has put his cannon on his shoulder and started shaking, it means that in a moment he will run straight at you. This is the best moment to make a perfect dodge and restore Ninja Tools. Since the boss is running towards you, if you dodge to the side, he will change his trajectory. Therefore, your best strategy is to run straight at the boss and, just before the collision, perform a forward dodge. As if through the boss. As a result, you will end up behind your opponent and will most likely get your Ninja Tools restored.

When the cannon fires at you, you see the fire flying, and you have to dodge to the side to avoid being damaged by the explosion of the shell at the landing site. In general, I found it uncomfortable to approach at medium range to use the Demon of Envy or Thundering Calamity skills. Unfortunately, these skills do not cause damage from a long distance. From a long distance, you can use fire shuriken, kunai, and magic shots. Every time Ninja Tools are restored, I always try to use them as quickly as possible.

In this battle, your opponent attacks very often, so you need to pay close attention to what is happening and react to the Demon of Obsession’s attacks in time. On the other hand, this is even good, as you will often have the opportunity to restore your throwing items. All other attacks are carried out by the boss at close range. The Demon of Obsession spins its cannon around itself, causing damage. It also often randomly swings its cannon around itself. When you are at a distance, you can easily ignore all these attacks. During the dark phase of the boss fight, the enemy gains several new attacks. You need to pay special attention to the moment when the boss flies into the air. In a moment, he will land with a powerful blow. Therefore, you need to dodge in time and move to a safe distance.

It is worth mentioning separately about shooting from a cannon, when it is not a fireball that flies out, but a wind charge. This charge is very insidious. Sometimes it rises up and disappears, and sometimes it flies towards you and explodes nearby. Therefore, every time you see such an attack, you need to keep moving. If you stand still, this charge will most likely fly towards you. If you move, this attack will not reach its target and will simply disappear. Therefore, always pay attention to what this wind charge is doing and act accordingly. Don’t forget, if you don’t have Ninja Tools, use magic shots. Only electric and fire charges will help you in this battle. The boss is protected from water and air shots. Therefore, adjust your magic element panel accordingly.

The general tactic is to constantly dodge and stay at a distance. Therefore, it doesn’t matter what weapon you use. No melee weapons were used in this battle, except during the period when the ultimate ability was used. I try to quickly use all my magic shots to move on to the second tab of magic skills. At the same time, as soon as Ninja Tools are restored, I immediately deal damage with these attack items.

Intense dark phase of the battle

When the boss has about 40% health left, he will enter an enhanced dark phase. And here it will be much more difficult for you to move. The boss summons windy tornadoes around the perimeter of the arena, which cause damage if you get caught in them. Therefore, you need to be twice as careful here. But since you have already thoroughly studied the attacks of the Demon of Obsession, it will be easier for you to notice their onset and react in time. When I run out of magic shots, I gradually start summoning Magatsu Warrior and Enenra. They deal a lot of damage to the enemy.

Essentially, you can use anyone to summon for a support attack. My choice is only because Magatsu Warrior deals electric damage and always hits the enemy. Enenra can miss, but his fire tornado can also set the enemy on fire, and the boss will take additional fire damage when the debuff is active. Towards the end of the fight, you need to pay more attention to the area around you. The boss often attacks with vertical wind shots that leave a wind trail on the ground, which also deals damage when you step on it. As you can see, I’m starting to miss more often with Thundering Calamity in the late stages of the fight. This skill deals a lot of damage and is quite effective, but to use it successfully, you need to approach at medium range and choose the right moment to do so, because at medium range you can already take damage from the boss if you don’t move away in time.

Once again, I am standing too far away, and my Thundering Calamity shot unfortunately does not reach its target. Nevertheless, I do not give up hope of winning with my fire shuriken and kunai, which I use to constantly damage my opponent between dodging the powerful attacks of the Demon of Obsession.

Ulta against Demon of Obsession

When I have used all my magical abilities and my Ninja Tools slots are empty, I decide to use my ultimate ability. This is a great opportunity to deal additional damage to my opponent and restore my throwing items. During my ultimate ability, I use a jump and a heavy attack. This simple combination usually deals a lot of damage to my opponent, and I like this type of attack.

Since I’m too lazy, I didn’t dodge the Demon of Obsession’s attacks, even though I really should have done so to continue the ultimate ability scale. I didn’t restore many Ninja Tools, but nevertheless, I use everything I have accumulated and realize that victory is not so far away, so I try to focus more on defense and timely reactions so as not to lose the victory when I am so close to it. Since all my offensive resources are depleted, I wait for the Ninja Tools to recharge and don’t want to risk getting into close combat.

At the end of the fight, there was an unpleasant moment when I couldn’t make a perfect dodge when the boss ran at me, and I almost lost this perfect attempt to win. I was lucky that I had some health left and was able to continue the fight. Although it was strange for me, this attack is usually very easy to dodge, and in most cases, I did so without any problems. I wait for the perfect dodge and get it several times later. This allows me to attack the boss and destroy the last bits of his health.
