Crowcaller in Crimson Desert isn’t a difficult opponent, but the puzzles you have to solve to find this boss are truly mind-boggling. Today, I’ll walk you through two encounters with Crowcaller and show you how to solve all the puzzles on the way to this boss. First, let’s talk about the first fight with Crowcaller.
Crimson Desert Crowcaller: First Encounter
Although the boss looks pretty scary, he’ll be an easy opponent for you in this battle. Equip a shield and a one-handed weapon. You’ll be able to block absolutely all of your opponent’s attacks. In return, your attacks will be very painful for Crowcaller, since he doesn’t have much health. Pay attention to the moment when the boss in front of you stops his attack and spreads both of his swords to the sides.
This is the perfect moment for you to launch your attack. You can deal a lot of damage at this moment. Crowcaller will be stunned. After a few strikes, hide behind your shield again and wait for the next good opportunity to attack. This tactic will allow you to win the fight very easily and without taking any damage yourself. Once Crowcaller’s health bar is completely depleted, the boss will flee from you, and I’ll show you how to find him next.

Obtain the church’s relic
You’ll see a marker on the map near the first encounter. Here, you need to go into the house and get the key from the woman living there, who will initially try to attack you. After that, you’ll unlock a new location. Run there. You need to find the entrance to the basement that I’m showing you. It’s locked, but with the key, you’ll be able to get inside. Here, you need to solve a puzzle to open the safe and get a special item. You’ll see the solution on the screen. You’ve already solved this puzzle earlier in the story, so you shouldn’t have any trouble.
Activate the Pillar of Radiance
Next, run to the spot where Crowcaller disappeared. You’ll also see a marker for this location in the game. Here, you can now activate the column to open the passage, but to do so, you’ll need to solve a new puzzle. You need to assemble the image I’m showing you. To do this, start by rotating the outermost circle until the edge of the image lines up. Then rotate the next circle to complete the full picture. After that, you need to go to a new location, which is a little further away.
- Obtain the church’s relic
- Activate the Pillar of Radiance
Activate the Spire of Soaring
You’ll find this towering building, but the front door will be broken. To get inside, you’ll need to find the entrance to the shaft a little further down. Go down to the right and you’ll see the entrance. After climbing the stairs, you’ll find yourself in a room where you’ll see a metal grate on the floor. Underneath it is a fan that directs air currents upward.
You need to jump up and activate your wings. Only then will the air current catch you and carry you upward. Enjoy the flight until you hit your head on the ceiling. There, the next interesting puzzle awaits you, and you’ll need to solve it.
- Activate the Spire of Soaring location
- The entrance to the cave, to get into the building
Toward the Nest the first puzzle
Use the sun’s rays as a tool to reveal the energy flows on the wall. You need to align these lines so that the energy from the lower flow travels along the lines to the other side of the room, where there is also an energy pipe at the bottom. To start, rotate the first plate to the right using Axiom Force. You’ll see the energy path highlighted on the plates. Find where it breaks off and rotate that plate to the left.
There’s a bridge in the center; you can see the energy flowing through it. Let’s move to the other side. Shine your weapon on the wall again, and you’ll see the pattern change here. Here, you need to rotate two plates so that the energy eventually reaches the pipe waiting for it below. Before rotating the last plate, I recommend jumping onto the platform, because once the energy flow is activated, this platform will start rising. If you don’t make it in time, you’ll have to interrupt the energy flow to make the platform lower. On the platform, you’ll ascend to a spot where you’ll need to solve the next puzzle.

Toward the Nest the second puzzle
Here’s a similar puzzle, but it’s much simpler. When you shine your sword on the wall, you’ll see that the energy streams diverge to the sides and point upward. But your energy comes from below. So you need to rotate the circle twice in either direction so that the vertical beam points downward and the other two diverge to the sides. After that, a very long flight scene awaits you.
First, you’ll rise higher, then the building’s walls will part, and the platform you’re standing on will start moving. I don’t know what to call it. Maybe it’s a kind of flying carpet, like the one Aladdin had. You’ll be flying on this platform for a very long time. You can walk around and look down it’s interesting but I’ll skip straight to the final stage of the flight, where new amazing puzzles await you.

- Let’s move on to the next stage
Activate the Skybridge – lasers
You’re looking at a strange and mysterious structure. At first, it’s hard to figure out what you’re supposed to do here. I suggest climbing onto the large sphere in front of you. Now turn back toward the platform you arrived on. Look to the left and up, and you’ll see another sphere with a laser beam there. There’s an identical laser on the right side. You need to get there and adjust the direction of these lasers.
I decided to tackle the left one first. Here, you can simply run up to the wall, jump using Force Palm, and then climb to the top. Grab the sphere using Axiom Force and move the laser so that it hits the target. Now you need to do exactly the same with the other laser. I suggest you simply run along the structure to this laser and repeat the steps with it.
- Activate the Skybridge – lasers
- Use Axiom Force to turn the laser back on
Activate the Skybridge – two connection
Next, you need to fly over to the central platform ahead. To do this, I decided to climb onto the sphere to gain some height and launch my flight from there, but this isn’t necessary. In general, you should have enough stamina to fly to the central platform from anywhere. At the landing point, look to your left and notice the disconnected cable. You need to fix this. Go over and do it. Next, move to the right along the platforms, which look like giant steps.
You’ll see a wall to your right. Climb up this wall and go back a bit. You’ll see another spot with a disconnected cable. You need to repair the connection here. Next, you’ll see that a circle has activated. Run to it. You need to climb into the center of this circle and use Force Palm to activate the portal, which will allow you to proceed further.

- Broken link in the second place
- Climb into the center and use Force Palm
Go to the final battleground
Yeah, it wasn’t easy, but I have to say, figuring out the solution is really exciting. From here on out, you just have to keep moving forward. I’m sure you can handle it, so I’ll walk you through this part in fast-forward. There aren’t any difficult puzzles ahead, but you’ll finally face your second boss battle against Crowcaller. After activating the air bridge, you’ll need to jump across platforms and glide on your wings with the wind.
Eventually, you’ll reach a portal near a large tree that will transport you to the boss’s location. After passing through the portal, carefully and quickly navigate the hanging platforms they’ll collapse under your weight. And you’ll finally find yourself at the key point. Activate the portal and head forward to the final battle with Crowcaller, which we’ll cover next.

Defeat crowcaller – 1st phase
The second battle against Crowcaller will consist of three phases. Of course, the first phase is the easiest. It’s similar to what you’ve already experienced during your first encounter. You can block all of your opponent’s attacks and strike when he spreads his swords apart. The only thing to note is that Crowcaller moves a bit faster during this battle, so you need to be very careful.
I recommend focusing the camera on your opponent to track his location so that Crowcaller’s attacks don’t catch you off guard. Otherwise, you can rely on your previous experience fighting this boss. Block his attacks and wait for the right moment to strike. You’ll get through this phase quickly, and after a short cutscene, the second phase of the battle will begin.
Defeat crowcaller – 2nd phase
The second phase is much more difficult. Immediately focus the camera on the enemy; this will make it a little easier for you to track his movements. In this phase, the boss unleashes a new attack that you cannot block. Pay attention to the moment when Crowcaller takes flight. At that moment, you need to be alert and ready for his attack. His first move is a sideways dash in the air, followed by a rapid dive toward you and a running strike. It is this attack that you cannot block.
Therefore, when he starts moving toward you, you need to dodge to avoid taking damage. It’s worth noting that these attacks are dangerous but not fatal. You can take a few hits; they won’t drain all your health. Just be ready to restore your health with food. In addition to this powerful attack, the Crowcaller will attack you with the moves you saw in the first phase. You can block them, wait for the right moment, and land your own strikes to advance to the third phase after another short cutscene.
- Defeat crowcaller – 1st phase
- Defeat crowcaller – 2nd phase
Defeat crowcaller – 3rd phase
The third phase is the most difficult. The main challenge is that Crowcaller will repeat an attack you can’t block three times. This really drags out the entire fight, since you’ll need more time to dodge and recover. The boss spends very little time on regular attacks. Still, you need to stick to a winning strategy. Dodge aerial attacks and block regular attacks. When the opportunity arises, land your powerful strikes. It’s worth noting that in this phase, it will be harder for you to hit the enemy.
After he spreads his swords to the sides, as you’re already used to, he may suddenly move or start attacking you. Therefore, your attacks at this moment may not succeed. But sooner or later, your attempts to attack will land on the enemy. Also, in this phase, the boss will have another attack that he doesn’t use very often, but you won’t be able to block it either. You’ll see him twist his torso and bring his sword behind his back.
It looks like a spring being wound up, ready to snap. In an instant, he’ll leap toward you and strike. You can dodge this attack if you do it in time. You can not only block his regular attacks but also perform a perfect block with your shield. Parry Crowcaller’s attacks in time, and he’ll be stunned for a moment, giving you the chance to counterattack.
The White Crow’s Liberation
The enemy doesn’t have much health left, so you’ll eventually defeat him. This is your moment of triumph. A tough enemy has been defeated, and White Crow has been saved.
