The Hunter’s Cabin Ancient Ruins puzzle in Crimson Desert pays you back in two stages. First, you solve the fire brazier puzzle at the altar and walk away with an Abyss Artifact and a new fast travel point. Then you find Hidden Treasure Map Piece 10 tucked into a niche on the altar wall, which sends you far across the world to the Bursada Temple Ruins and a chest containing the Golden Greed Plate armor piece. This guide walks you through every step of that chain, plus the fix for the Force Palm glitch at Bursada Temple that keeps the rotating slab from working and leaves players stuck outside the secret room.

Bookmark this guide before you head out, because the distance between Hunter’s Cabin and Bursada Temple Ruins is significant, and the glitch fix is not obvious unless you already know what to do.

Hunter’s Cabin Ancient Ruins Location in Crimson Desert

The Hunter’s Cabin Ancient Ruins are located in the Hernand region, northwest of the main city in that area and just north of the Haunted Hill. This is one of many ancient ruins spread across Crimson Desert, each one hiding an Abyss Artifact behind a short environmental puzzle. Some of these puzzles involve lighting fires, others involve moving objects or activating panels in the correct order. The Hunter’s Cabin version is among the quickest to complete, and the bonus treasure map you find here makes it one of the most rewarding stops in the full ruins circuit.

When you arrive at the ruins, you’ll see a main altar at the center of the area with fire statues positioned around it. Some of the flames are already lit. Two of them are not, and those two unlit statues are the entire puzzle. The solution is visible the moment you walk in, so you won’t spend any time confused about what you need to do.

Before you leave after solving the puzzle, keep one more thing in mind. If you activate your Lamp or use Blinding Flash while standing inside the ruins, you’ll reveal a Visione Memory hidden at this spot. Most players walk straight past it, so it’s worth taking the extra moment while you’re already here.

How to Solve the Hunter’s Cabin Ancient Ruins Puzzle and Claim the Abyss Artifact

The puzzle at the Hunter’s Cabin Ancient Ruins is built around lighting two fire statues where the flame isn’t burning. Both statues are positioned right next to the main altar, so you won’t need to explore the full area to find them. One is to the right of the altar, and the other is positioned directly in front of it, just before the entrance to the altar itself. Interact with each one to light the flame, and you’ll see the path to the Abyss Artifact open up immediately after the second flame is lit.

Walk over and claim your reward. Interacting with the Abyss Cresset does two things: it gives you the Abyss Artifact, and it activates a fast travel point at this location. That fast travel point is easy to overlook if you’re focused on grabbing the artifact and moving on, but it’s genuinely useful if you plan to return to this part of Hernand later. Don’t forget this step.

If you’re working through the ancient ruins puzzle chain across the world, our guide to solving the Hidden Chamber of Wisdom puzzle in Crimson Desert covers another ruins location with its own multi-element puzzle and Abyss Artifact reward, and it’s a solid follow-up once you’ve finished here.

Now, before you leave the Hunter’s Cabin Ancient Ruins entirely, go to the left side of the altar wall. There’s a niche there, and tucked inside it is an item called Hidden Treasure Map Piece 10. Pick it up. This is the start of a separate hunt that leads you all the way to the Bursada Temple Ruins and a piece of the Golden Greed armor set.

Where to Find Hidden Treasure Map Piece 10 in Crimson Desert

Hidden Treasure Map Piece 10 in Crimson Desert is found in the niche on the left side of the altar wall inside the Hunter’s Cabin Ancient Ruins, right after you solve the brazier puzzle. The map shows a specific building with an archway and a set of stairs. The instructions on the map tell you to go through the arch, bypass the stairs, and then use the Force Palm ability to break through a wall and enter the secret room hidden on the other side. The chest with your reward is waiting in that room.

What the map doesn’t make obvious is just how far from Hunter’s Cabin you need to travel. The destination is the Bursada Temple Ruins. If you picture the world map with Hunter’s Cabin on the left side, the Bursada Temple Ruins are far to the right, connected by a long straight-line distance. It’s one of the more significant cross-map treasure hunts in Crimson Desert, so make sure you’re prepared for some travel before you set off.

One very helpful thing about this treasure map is that you can pull it out of your backpack at any time and look at it again while you’re traveling or once you’ve arrived at a new location. I did this when I reached the Bursada Temple Ruins, just to confirm I was in the right place. I compared the sketch on the map to the building in front of me, and everything matched up exactly. When you get there, you’ll know right away that you’ve found it.

Bursada Temple Ruins Location and How to Navigate the Area

The Bursada Temple Ruins are an ancient site of unknown origin. Along with the nearby Bursada Castle Ruins, this location stands as one of the only surviving pieces of evidence that a civilization once existed in this part of the world. The area is occupied by bandits when you arrive. You can go for the chest at any point, whether the bandits are still present or not, so the choice is entirely yours.

I decided to clear the bandits before going for the treasure. Once I did, the game highlighted an entrance that looked exactly like the building shown in the Hidden Treasure Map picture. So I pulled the map back out of my backpack and compared it again just to be sure, and everything checked out perfectly. Right place, right building, no doubt about it.

From the entrance, head toward the building shown on the map and go around the stairs rather than climbing them. The archway you’re looking for is located behind the staircase. Step through the arch and you’ll enter a small room. At the far end of that room is a wall that you need to strike with Force Palm. On the floor, there’s a rotating slab that’s designed to flip and carry your character through the wall into the secret room on the other side. In theory, that’s exactly how it works. In practice, a lot of players run straight into a glitch right here.

Bursada Temple Ruins Glitch Fix: How to Get Past the Force Palm Slab

The Bursada Temple Ruins glitch with Force Palm is a widely reported issue in Crimson Desert that has been affecting players since shortly after launch. The rotating slab inside the small room is supposed to flip when you use Force Palm on the wall, carrying your character through into the hidden room behind it. But for many players, the slab simply pushes the character back outside no matter how many times they strike the wall, and nothing seems to make it function the way it should through normal means.

The fix is simple once you know it. Exit the room completely. Stepping back outside is enough to reload that part of the area and reset the slab trigger. Then go back in and this time, perform Force Palm several times in a row without pausing between strikes. A triple Force Palm hit in quick succession, just keep activating the ability without stopping, and you’ll find yourself carried through into the hidden room. It works consistently, and players across the community have confirmed this is the reliable solution.

The chest inside contains the Golden Greed Plate, one of the pieces of the Golden Greed armor set available through the treasure map chain in Crimson Desert. It’s a solid defensive piece and well worth the journey. And when you’re ready to leave the secret room, use the same triple Force Palm technique to get back out. You won’t get stuck inside.

Force Palm is an ability you unlock during Chapter 4, and it turns out to be one of the most versatile tools in Crimson Desert for accessing hidden spaces, triggering wall panels, and breaking through cracked masonry scattered throughout the game world. The Bursada Temple hidden room is just one example of how much mileage you get from that ability once you have it in your kit.
