The All-Seeing mage is a warrior type who uses both magic and a blade in the game Nioh 3. The All-Seeing mage also wears a Kitsune Mask to hide his identity. Before we move on to the walkthrough for this boss fight, I recommend checking out another interesting quest featuring the charismatic boss Groans in the Valley.

Nioh 3 All-Seeing Mage location

You will first see the All-Seeing mage praying in one of the temples located west of Funaokayama Shrine in Kamo Village. To keep other mages from getting in the way, you’ll need to take them out first – it’s not difficult – and I’ll start right away with a battle against the All-Seeing Mage. Although the game labels this boss as a tough opponent, I’d actually call him a weak one.

Sure, he’s more powerful than the ordinary yokai you encounter along the way, but it’s hard to call this opponent difficult – especially after all the trials you’ve already faced in the game. You’ve already defeated some truly tough opponents, but to unlock the achievement for defeating all enemies, you’ll need to find and defeat this boss as well.

Nioh 3 All-Seeing Mage boss fight

Even though the boss is located in the Heian region – the second major region you encounter after starting the game – I believe you’ll face this opponent early in your character’s development. You don’t have any powerful magic skills or Ninja Tools yet. But you won’t need them in this battle. I use a straightforward tactic in this fight. Of course, I try to keep my distance from the enemy to avoid getting hit by his attacks. From a distance, I use my entire arsenal of Ninja Tools.

You can’t get carried away here, because after a while, the All-Seeing Mage will start blocking your shurikens and kunai. As always, the fire shuriken performs well. Usually, the moment it explodes, I execute a simple combo of a jump and a heavy attack, which almost always deals damage to the enemy. After that, you can perform a series of light attacks to deal even more damage. Then I retreat to a safe distance to fight more safely.
