In Nioh 3, you can only find some bosses by completing a specific task or quest. Today, we will look at a simple quest called Searching for a Spy, at the end of which you will encounter the boss Kyokotsu. I will say right away that this quest has one key point without which you will not be able to proceed further. I also recommend checking out the guide on how to defeat Baba Nobuharu.
Where to find Abandoned Shrine Key Nioh 3
The Searching for a Spy quest starts here, where I noticed a red circle. You will meet Hattori Hanzo on the roof of the building. After talking to him, you will help him complete the task, so now you have a temporary partner in battle. You need to destroy the enemies and get to this place. Here you will find the Abandoned Shrine Key, without which it is impossible to continue the quest. Next, I showed you the route to the next destination.
Of course, you will have to destroy some enemies along the way, but before you leave this place, I suggest you jump onto the roof of this building. And it’s not just to see the view from above. Here, on the balcony, you will find a little Kodama. You need to collect these little guys as quickly as possible to get passive bonuses.

Searching for a Spy walkthrough Nioh 3
Before you is a gate that cannot be opened without the key you found earlier. Inside, after climbing the stairs, you must deal with the enemies who are trying to harm Scampuss. You will do this easily, as there are no difficult enemies here, and then the final boss, Kyokotsu, will appear.
This is a fairly simple opponent, but a pesky one. His aerial attacks can catch you off guard, so be careful. You will most likely defeat Kyokotsu on your first try, as this boss is no more difficult than the regular elite opponents you have encountered before. In addition, you will have Hattori Hanzo as your partner.
He will initially take on all the other minor enemies and deal with them fairly quickly. If you want, you can help him, and then Hattori Hanzo will start to deal more damage to the boss. Kyokotsu has a small health bar, and your attacks quickly reduce it. It is important not to miss the moment when your stamina runs out and to give yourself a rest. At this point, it is better to use ninjutsu to further reduce the boss’s health.
