This is a place you’ve been to before, but only after defeating Great Tengu and traveling to Heian can you reach Master Sugitani Zenjubo. You’ll receive the Guardian Spirit Kurama tengu which will open the Spirit Vein by the water. You will only be able reach the island that contains Master Sugitani Zenjubo after you receive the Guardian Spirit Kurama Tengu.

Gunpowder Bombs, Fire Shuriken and Shrapnel Bombs were my Ninja Tools of choice for this battle. The Demon of Envy is a great way to combine these three elements. It’s important to keep the Burning debuff active while the enemy is taking damage. This is why you’ll need to use so many elements which deal extra fire damage. After using Demon of Envy for the first time, you will most likely set Sugitani Zenjubo ablaze.

Now, throw bombs, fire shurikens, and take short breaks between each. Be sure that the debuff doesn’t wear off. You’ll reduce enemy health quickly this way. You can recharge your Ninja Tools by avoiding shots and attacks. I was unable to concentrate at the end of the fight, so had to use standard methods. I dodge, use magic shots and throw Ninja Tools. This strategy will help you defeat Sugitani Zenjubo quickly and easily and earn the final reward: the Handbook of Urgency.
