Fuma Kotaro is a master you can find in the location I’m showing you. Like all other masters, you’ll have to defeat this opponent to get something useful after winning. In this case, you’ll get the Handbook Flying Buck. It’s up to you to decide whether you need it or not. I also recommend checking out an important quest in Nioh 3 – Who Live in the Shadows.
Nioh 3 master Fuma Kotaro location
Personally, I am only interested in this opponent so that I can fulfill my desire to defeat absolutely all the bosses in the game. The battle takes place in a small room. Fortunately, Fuma Kotaro does not use amplitude attacks, so there is enough space to move freely during the battle. In this battle, there is no point in studying the enemy’s movements or using any special tactics. You will defeat this opponent on your first try, because the most difficult thing about him is his health bar, which you need to reduce to zero. Otherwise, I can say that some ordinary yokai are much more difficult than Fuma Kotaro.

Nioh 3 master Fuma Kotaro fight
I move in a circle around the boss, throwing everything I have at him. When he attacks, I try to dodge perfectly to replenish my Ninja Tools, and sometimes I use simple combinations to attack. That’s all it takes to defeat Fuma Kotaro in ninja mode. The boss rarely blocks thrown objects, so you can throw a lot of shurikens at him.
There is no need to use your ultimate ability in this battle, as the boss is clearly not worth it. It will take longer to recover afterwards. In general, you can even enjoy your dominance in this fight. Fuma Kotaro can’t do anything formidable, he is only capable of occasionally performing attacks that don’t do much damage, even if you don’t dodge them. I even wonder why this opponent was called a master.
Maybe he is a master at losing fights. It would be interesting to see the statistics to see if this opponent has ever beaten any of the players. If so, it was probably by accident. Because I can’t imagine how it’s possible to get to this part of the game, meet Fuma Kotaro, and lose to him. It’s possible at the beginning of the game, when you’re getting acquainted with the combat mechanics, but not now.
