The Demon’s Regimen is a side quest that you can complete after finishing the Searching for a Spy quest, which I mentioned earlier. This is a continuation of your training with the mighty Hattori Hanzo, who is not actually that strong. During this quest, you will defeat him without even noticing. It is that easy to deal with this opponent.
How to Find Hattori Hanzo (boss location)
You need to find Hattori Hanzo at the location I showed on the map. After that, he will ask you to follow the cat.
This cute, fat cat will lead you into an ambush. You must first defeat two opponents, and then another group of three opponents. Next, the cat will lead you to a place where you will meet Hattori Hanzo again, who will test your strength in this place. Now Hattori Hanzo will become your opponent, and you need to defeat this boss.
There is nothing complicated about this fight. In most cases, Hattori Hanzo runs after you to strike you with his weapon. You can easily dodge or block his attacks. Experimentation has shown that Uncanny Bolt deals significant damage to your opponent, while kunai and shuriken deal minor damage but can stop the boss for a second when he runs towards you.
If you spam too many throwing weapons, Hattori Hanzo will start blocking them. So use these items as a supplement to your main attacks while recovering stamina to stop your opponent and deal minor damage.

Hattori Hanzo Nioh 2 guide
In this battle, you can use any attack combinations that you use in duels. I settled on two combinations, the first being a jump with fire ignition, followed by a flight in the air towards the enemy. This attack often damages the enemy from behind and quickly reduces their health. The only drawback of this combination is that it quickly depletes your stamina, and after 2-3 attacks, you need time to recover.
In this fight, it’s easy to do, so the attack is pretty effective. To perform this combo, you need to learn the Cloudsplitter Fire skill in the ninja dual swords branch. You can also do this attack without activating the fire, but then you’ll do less damage to the enemy. So, you need to hold down the block button, which for me is the LB button, and then press the normal attack button, which is the X button, several times. As a result, the ninja jumps up, creating a whirlwind of fire, and if the boss is nearby, he will take damage from this action.
Next, by pressing the normal attack while the ninja is in the air, he will fly forward and attack the enemy. By pressing the attack several times in a row, the ninja will not fall to the ground, but will turn around and attack the enemy again. This will continue as long as you have enough stamina.
The second combination is much simpler, and I often use it in any fight. In my case, I use two swords, but you can do it with other weapons as well. You need to jump up at the right moment and then press the heavy attack button. Your character will land with their weapon pointing downwards, dealing a powerful blow to the enemy. Of course, when your attack hits the enemy’s back, you deal even more damage. You can also finish off a previous combo with this attack if the moment is right, dealing even more damage to your opponent.
So, with this blow, I end the fight. Hattori Hanzo is defeated. After that, you need to talk to him to get your reward and complete The Demon’s Regimen quest.
