The Sanctum of Transcendence puzzle solution in Crimson Desert comes down to three things: open the locked door with a charged Force Palm, destroy two bismuth walls to free the cores hiding behind them, and slot everything into the circular mechanism at the center of the room. Do that in order and the Abyss Artifact appears on its own. Before you get there, though, there’s a secret chest tucked along a separate platform path that most players walk straight past, and I want to make sure you don’t miss it.

Bookmark this guide before you head in, since the platform sections leading up to the Sanctum of Transcendence are easy to lose track of if you’re jumping between videos and text. I’ll walk through the whole route, the secret chest detour, and the full Sanctum of Transcendence puzzle solution step by step.

This particular Abyss Restoration puzzle is one of the shorter ones in the Dry Valley cluster, but it’s also easy to rush through and miss the chest entirely, since the main path and the chest path split apart early and never cross again. I nearly skipped it myself the first time through, since the breakable platforms make it tempting to just push forward toward the portal instead of doubling back. Take the extra minute for the detour. The gear and artifact waiting at the end are worth more than the time it costs you.

Reaching the Sanctum of Transcendence Abyss Nexus

You’ll pick this route up right after finishing the Dimensional Labyrinth Abyss puzzle, past the spot where you grabbed the Abyss Artifact from that encounter. Head through the triangular portal ahead of you and a steering wheel will appear. Turn it with Axiom Force to activate the skybridge, and a set of flying platforms will pop up leading toward a portal. You don’t need to ride every platform here. I skip most of them and fly straight down to the portal sitting below, which saves a decent chunk of time if you’ve already cleared this section once and you’re only after the Abyss Artifact at the end. If you want the full breakdown of how that steering wheel and skybridge sequence gets unlocked in the first place, I covered it in the Abyss Skybridge puzzle walkthrough, since this area connects directly to it.

Once you step through the portal, you’ll land somewhere new where you need to cross a stretch of platforms to keep moving forward. Some of them are rigged to break the moment you land on them. They’re not hard to spot, since the breakable ones look more warped and cracked than the stable platforms around them. This is where the path splits, and it’s also where the secret chest comes in.

Sanctum of Transcendence Secret Chest Location and Reward

Before following the platforms to their main destination, take the branch that leads out toward the larger island to your side. There’s a separate string of platforms here that takes you straight to a hidden chest. Follow the full path this time instead of skipping ahead, and the moment a platform starts to crumble under your feet, jump immediately to the next one rather than waiting it out. Miss the timing and you’ll drop straight into the void below, so keep your eyes on the platform in front of you rather than the chest in the distance.

Stick with it and you’ll land on solid ground next to the chest. Based on what other Abyss Restoration runs through this same room have turned up, the Sanctum of Transcendence secret chest holds a Faded Abyss Artifact along with a piece of Flameward III Abyss Gear, so it’s worth the detour even if you’re only here to clear the main puzzle. Grab everything, then step into the nearby portal to continue. If you enjoy hunting down chest rewards like this one, the Abyss puzzle at the Jijeong Temple Pagoda has a similar setup worth checking in our Jijeong Temple Pagoda Abyss puzzle and chest guide.

Sanctum of Transcendence Puzzle Solution: Opening the Locked Door

The portal drops you into another area with a floating platform off to the side. Ride it until you reach a point where you can jump off and keep going across the platforms ahead. From there you’ll spot the Abyss Nexus. Stand on it and it activates the portal that takes you to the Sanctum of Transcendence itself, which is where the real puzzle starts.

Walk up to the entrance and you’ll find the door sealed shut. To open it, drop into Focus mode by pressing L and R together, then hold R until the circle behind the door lights up brightly. Crimson Desert’s Focus mechanic uses a small clover-shaped reticle for aiming during this charge, so keep it centered on the glowing circle rather than the door frame around it. Once the circle is fully lit, release R and follow up with a healing Force Palm strike to blow the door open. Don’t walk off yet, since there’s a core sitting right there that you can pull into your kuku pot bag using Axiom Force before heading inside.

Sanctum of Transcendence Abyss Puzzle: Destroying the Walls

Inside, look to the bottom right and you’ll notice a square platform that’s clearly missing something, a square energy object that needs to be connected to it. That object is sealed behind a wall a short distance away, and you break it open the same way you opened the front door. You don’t even need to walk right up to it. The Focused Force Palm works from a distance, so line up the same Focus mode charge and release it once the circle flashes.

Grab the core that drops, then switch to Axiom Force and drag the square energy object over to the empty platform. A green light will appear next to it once it’s lined up correctly, and that’s your signal that it’s ready. Jump on top of the object and hit it with a Force Palm strike to lock it into place. This is the same core mechanic Kliff relies on throughout most of the Abyss Restoration puzzles, so if the timing feels awkward here, it’s worth practicing on an easier encounter like the wall breaks in our Spire of the Sun stone tablet puzzle guide first.

A couple of things trip people up in this stretch of the Sanctum of Transcendence puzzle. First, the square energy object won’t lock in if you drop it even slightly off the platform’s edge, so watch for that green light before you jump up and strike it, since swinging early just knocks the object loose again. Second, the cores you pick up here aren’t just puzzle filler. They go straight into your kuku pot bag and count toward the wider Abyss Restoration collection tracked across the Dry Valley cluster, so there’s no reason to leave any of them behind.

Sanctum of Transcendence Abyss Puzzle: Finishing the Circular Mechanism

Head over to the left side of the room next, where you’ll find a second enchanted wall guarding the last piece of the puzzle. Break it with the same Focus mode charge and Force Palm combo you’ve already used twice, and another core will drop for you to collect. Behind that wall is a large circular mechanism, and it’s already primed to go. All you need to do is climb into the center of it and land a Force Palm strike.

That’s the entire Sanctum of Transcendence puzzle solution wrapped up. The Abyss Artifact appears right in the center of the room the moment the mechanism activates, so grab it and you’re done here. If you’re chasing more Abyss Artifacts after this one, the Master Du fight tied to the Abyss Skybridge area is a solid next stop, and our Master Du green beam boss guide covers the easiest way to take him down.
