Once you’ve beaten him in the boss fight, the main quest doesn’t just let Master Du walk off into the sunset. This new perspectives Crimson Desert walkthrough covers exactly what comes next, since the game sends you right back into the Abyss to track him down again, and the path there is a lot more involved than the one you took the first time. If you’re still shaking off that fight, our Master Du Green Beam boss guide covers the encounter itself before you head into this next stretch.
New Perspectives is the 136th main quest in Crimson Desert, part of the Enlightenment sub-chapter in Chapter 9, The Sage of the Desert, and it rewards the Karmic Pulse Abyss Gear once you finish it. On top of the main objective, there’s a second route hidden past the first one that leads to an extra Abyss Artifact, and we’ll cover both here so you don’t miss it.
Where to Find Master Du Again in Crimson Desert
Your starting point is the same tower you already used to reach your training battle with Goyen, so there’s nothing new to figure out here, just retrace your steps up to the top floor and step through the Abyss Portal. From there the route becomes linear for a while. Pull up the Abyss map if you lose your bearings, since it marks the floating islands along your path, and you genuinely can’t wander off course during this first stretch. Keep moving forward until you reach the triangular portal, which should look familiar from earlier Abyss visits.
How to Activate the Skybridge Puzzle Crimson Desert Sends You Through
On the other side of that portal is a makeshift steering wheel. Grab it with Axiom Force and turn it until the skybridge activates, and a string of platforms will snap into place in front of you. Jump across them to reach the next portal, step inside, and you’ll teleport straight to the following section. A few platforms later you’ll run into a floating wall with a round window in its center.
Climb onto the window, secure yourself with the Stab ability, and hit it with a Force Palm, the same core mechanic that carries most of Crimson Desert’s Abyss puzzles, including the one we cover in our T’rukan Force Palm strategy guide. The window rotates you to the other side, and when the wall bottoms out, jump down to the platform below and repeat the process on the next wall you find. Once you clear a few more platforms, you’ll spot the Abyss Nexus below you. Stand on it and let it activate, since it becomes your checkpoint if you fall later on.

Solving the Abyss Puzzle Round Buttons Section by Section
This part of the route is the named Throne of Truth Abyss Restoration challenge, and it’s genuinely optional if you’d rather skip it, since a large stamina bar (topped up with the right food) lets you jump straight to the platform above and climb past the whole thing. If you want the Abyss Artifact that comes with solving it properly, though, here’s what you’re looking at. The buttons are split into three sections, and you clear them left to right, using Stab to hang on and Force Palm to press each one without getting knocked loose. The left section just needs the button sitting lower than its neighbors. The middle section wants the top button in the second column first, then the bottom one in that same column.
The right section is the one that trips people up, since you need the second button from the right along the top row, followed by an angled button set on a floating platform just below it, and it’s easy to miss entirely on a first pass. Hold the trigger that keeps you anchored before each Force Palm too, since letting go mid-strike near this section can launch you into one of the open holes in the floor below and reset your progress. Once all three sections glow, the power routes to a disconnected cable nearby. Reconnect it, then look for the fan close by, jump into its airflow, and glide over to the final marker where Master Du, White Crow, and Alustin are waiting. If puzzle mechanics like this are your thing, our Jijeong Temple Pagoda Abyss puzzle walkthrough is worth a look too, since it uses a lot of the same rotating and anchoring logic.
After You Find Master Du Again: Cutscene and Rewards
Reaching the marker triggers a conversation scene with all three characters, and you’ll walk away with advice, some guidance for what’s coming, and a gift on top of the Karmic Pulse Abyss Gear tied to finishing New Perspectives. The story will nudge you to head back to camp right after, but don’t rush off just yet. There’s more Abyss to explore from here, and it leads to a second Abyss Artifact that a lot of players miss simply because the main quest marker disappears once you talk to Master Du.

The Hidden Abyss Artifact Puzzle Beyond New Perspectives
The opening of this bonus stretch reuses everything you already know, another triangular portal, another control wheel to turn with Axiom Force, another set of skybridge platforms to hop across. Where it gets trickier is a vertical wall with a rotating circular window that slowly descends on its own, so you’ll need to time your approach and ride it upward instead of climbing it directly. A second descending wall leads you to a portal, and past that is a horizontally moving version of the same window mechanic, followed by another Abyss Nexus worth activating as your save point before the real puzzle begins.
From here you’re working with three separate rotating windows that redirect an energy flow rather than just carrying you between platforms, plus a floating battery you’ll grab with Axiom Force, guide through a narrow grate opening, and slide out again through a square gap in the outer wall. Bring that battery to the central mechanism, rotate it vertical, and Force Palm it into place once it turns green, then do the same for a second battery floating nearby.
A fourth window powers the whole system once you rotate it from Focus mode without stepping through it yourself, and the last step is walking to the large circle between both batteries and hitting it with one final Force Palm. That completes the mechanism and opens the path to your reward on the platform above. Since batteries and Force Palm activations show up constantly across Crimson Desert’s endgame content, our Corruption Binding the Dragon walkthrough and our Gregor the Halberd of Carnage guide both lean on the same Force Palm timing if you want more practice with it.
