To find the boss Hino-enma, you need to complete the quest The Demon of the Haunting Caves in Nioh 3. Once you have started the Abundant Evil myth, you can enter the Haunting Caves in the southeastern part of Maisaka and follow the path leading north. This is not a mandatory boss, and you will defeat him easily. But if you are interested in a more challenging opponent, you can select him from the list of all bosses in the game.
Nioh 3 Hino-enma boss fight
When you reach the area where the resident is mining ore, there is a shrine nearby, and an additional mission will begin. It will be a long journey through the cave, at the end of which you will meet Hino-enma. In fact, I expected this enemy to be much more difficult. I wonder why the developers make one boss difficult and another super easy.
Hino-enma will take significant damage from your throwing items. Her attacks are easy to dodge. After using all my shurikens and kunai, I decided to immediately use my ultimate ability to deal a lot of damage and replenish my throwing items, but that was the end of the fight. Hino-enma couldn’t withstand the barrage of attacks from my ultimate ability. Just like that, I spammed a powerful attack and the boss was finished.
This time, as always, I used the lazy way to deal damage. During the ultimate attack, I just jump and press the heavy attack button. Usually, the boss also deals damage during this attack, which quickly depletes the ultimate ability gauge, but this time the damage from Hino-enma was so small that I resisted for a long time in my ultimate form and completely destroyed the enemy. I didn’t even have to finish off the boss with throwing items, as I usually do.
